The greater part of TBA’s planning expertise relates to the production of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA).

TBA have prepared numerous LVIA’s, which are undertaken in general accordance with the Guidelines for Landscape and Visual Impact, published by the Landscape Institute and The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, together with other relevant guidance.

The practice has particularly specialised in LVIA relating to proposed housing developments. As well as often being required as part of the planning process, the documents produced are a useful design tool and should inform any new layout.

TBA are also able to address many of the landscape based planning issues which developers are likely to encounter. The practice is familiar with current, relevant, legislation and is used to liaising with local authority planning departments and other statutory bodies.
